Laura Dick is the first-choice goalkeeper at TSG Hoffenheim and has attracted interest from Women’s Super League side Arsenal. The Gunners are currently dealing with injuries in their goalkeeping department, with Daphne van Domselaar still sidelined despite making progress in her recovery, while Manuela Zinsberger has been ruled out with an ACL injury.
Anneke Borbe is currently available and has been in good form between the posts, but Arsenal are understood to be seeking further reinforcement in goal. According to Florian Plettenberg, Dick is one of the club’s top targets.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed an impressive season with the German side, with her performances earning her a first call-up to the Germany national team. Former Hoffenheim head coach Theodoros Dedes has been full of praise for the goalkeeper, describing her as “currently the best German goalkeeper in the league — at least.” He added: “Laura Dick is in top form and has developed a real sense of confidence since becoming the clear number one. She always wants more; as soon as she achieves something, she’s already focused on the next step. She’s fully committed, very grounded and highly self-critical.”
