Head coach Élisabet Gunnarsdóttir has announced her 23-player squad for Belgium’s women’s national team ahead of UEFA Women’s EURO 2025. Since Gunnarsdóttir’s arrival, the team’s playing style has evolved, and the Red Flames secured two notable wins in their UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign — against England and Portugal.
While Belgium still needs to defend its League A spot in a play-off against the Republic of Ireland later this year, the focus now shifts to the European Championships, where they will first travel to Switzerland for the group stage. Find out who made the Belgium squad, when and where their group matches will be played, and how to watch the tournament.

What the head coach had to say
On the hard choices: “For me it is important that this is the strongest possible selection. They are performing the best at the moment. There are a few minor injuries, but nothing to worry about. I expect everyone to be fit. There were no major doubts. I will always follow my heart. The 23 names are the best at the moment. Although it remains difficult to disappoint players.”
On the goal this Women’s EURO 2025: “I don’t want to tie myself down to one goal. I always look at the next match with my group. That was also our trump card in the Nations League, which also produced great results. So now I only focus on our opener against Italy, a good start is important.”
