Everton have signed Manchester United’s Hannah Blundell on loan until the end of the season. The 31-year-old right-back joins Brian Sørensen’s side, bringing extensive experience as a four-time Women’s Super League champion.

Blundell came through the Chelsea academy and spent eight years at the club, winning the Women’s FA Cup and four WSL titles. She moved to Manchester United in 2021 and is now embarking on her first loan spell since joining the Red Devils.

Having recently returned to football following the birth of her child in March, Blundell made 84 appearances for Manchester United and is ready to make an impact at Goodison Park.

Words from Hannah Blundell

“I am really excited! I can’t wait to get going and meet all the girls and our fans. The stadium is fantastic. Every time I have played against Everton, you can always hear the fans. They are always brilliant and I cannot wait to have them on my side and hopefully give them some excitement.

“Everton have got an amazing history – that is something I cannot wait to be a part of. I know some of the players which makes it a lot easier coming in. I am sure I am going to get along with all the girls – they seem like a great group and are fantastic players.

“The way the Club is going is something I am looking forward to being a part of. Playing at Goodison Park is fantastic.”

Brian Sorensen Convinced Hannah Blundell

“The conversations I have had with Brian, my profile is what he is looking for,” she continued. “Hopefully, I can bring that to the team and hopefully he can improve me. I am really looking forward to getting going.

“The first conversation I had with him got me really excited to join the Club. He is definitely one of the reasons I did. Both of our ambitions aligned, so that made it easy for me to be here.

“Of course, I need to work hard to earn that position and I am more than happy to do that. Hopefully when I am playing, I can bring a good performance, good experience to the girls, get the three points and help Everton climb the table.”
