The She Believes Cup 2025 kicks-off on the 20th of February with the match between Japan and Australia. The four participants are Colombia, USA, Japan and Australia. Japan National Team
Nils Nielsen was announced as the new Japan head coach in December 2024. He replaces Futoshi Ikeda who was in charge for the past eight years. The Japanese FA hopes to bring the women’s national team to the next level with Nielsen in charge.
The head coach reached the final of the EURO 2017 with Denmark, managed Switzerland Women between 2018-2022 and took the role of director of football for Manchester City women after that. He selected the following Japan National Team:

- Defenders: Kumagai Saki, Kitagawa Hikaru, Minami Moeka, Takahashi Hana, Ishikawa Rion, Koga Toko, Takarada Saori
- Midfielders: Momiki Yuka, Seike Kiko, Hasegawa Yui, Miura Narumi, Hayashi Honoka, Nagano Fuka, Miyazawa Hinata, Fujino Aoba, Maika Hamano, Tanikawa Momoko
- Forwards: Tanaka Mina, Chiba Remina, Ueki Riko

Schedule Japan National Team
The team starts training on Monday the 17th of February and will work towards the first match against Australia. They will play a total of three matches and the winner of the She Believes Cup will be determined by total points. If that does not give a winner, the first tiebreaker will be overall goal difference, followed by most goals scored, then head-to-head result and lastly, Fair Play ranking if necessary.
- Thu. 20th of Feb – Japan vs Australia at 4PM CT Shell Energy Stadium
- Sun. 23rd of Feb – Colombia vs Japan at Noon MT State Farm Stadium
- Wed. 26th of Feb – USA vs Japan at 7:30PM PT Snapdragon Stadium
