London City Lionesses have announced the extension of Isobel Goodwin’s contract until the summer of 2028. The forward joined the club in September 2024 from Sheffield United. Since then, Goodwin has played a vital role in the team’s promotion to the Women’s Super League, scoring 16 goals and finishing as the top scorer of the 2024/25 season. Among her goals was a crucial equaliser in the final match against Birmingham City, helping secure promotion. She was later named Women’s Championship Player of the Season.
Goodwin continued her strong form in the English top flight, scoring her first two goals in a victory over Everton and adding another against Aston Villa later in the season. She has started all 10 top-flight matches in the 2025/26 campaign to date, playing the full 90 minutes in all but two fixtures.
On the international stage, Goodwin featured for the England U23 team last season, scoring three goals in four games.
