According to Gabriel Økland Retallack, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing SK Brann midfielder Signe Gaupset. The 20-year-old recently said in an interview with TV 2: “It’s up to Brann, since I still have two years left on my contract, but they know what I want.” Gaupset could make the move as early as the January transfer window. She is under contract with SK Brann until 2027, meaning Tottenham would need to be prepared to meet her release clause.

“I also have to think a bit about myself and my own development. I’ve been at Brann for a long time. Now I feel ready for a new step and an even higher level,” Gaupset told TV 2.

Reunited with her Former Head Coach

The attacking midfielder would be reunited with her former head coach, Martin Ho, at Tottenham. He left the Norwegian club in the summer of 2025 to join the Women’s Super League club.

The team started the season well but suffered their third defeat this weekend, losing to London City Lionesses. Tottenham came from behind twice, thanks to Tandberg converting from the spot and Summanen scoring a sensational goal from a free kick. Spurs are currently in 5th place with 15 points, level with Arsenal after eight rounds.

Final game in the Norwegian Toppserien

Before making any move, Gaupset will finish the 2025 Toppserien season in Norway. Brann sit at the top of the table with 71 points and a 7-point gap to second-placed Vålerenga. This means Brann have already secured the Norwegian championship and earned a place in next season’s Women’s Champions League.
