West Ham United have announced the signing of Estelle Cascarino on loan from Juventus until the end of the 2025/26 season. The French international will wear the number 28 shirt and arrives with significant experience at the highest level of the women’s game.

Cascarino made 49 appearances for Juventus, helping the club secure the Serie A title, Coppa Italia and the 2023/24 Supercoppa Italiana. She is no stranger to the Women’s Super League, having previously spent a loan spell at Manchester United in 2023.

The defender is the first signing made by new West Ham head coach Rita Guarino during the winter transfer window. Speaking after completing the move, Cascarino said:

“I know that West Ham is a big club in England and I’m excited to be part of this project. I’m a technical player who is aggressive in my defending. I’m here to bring my leadership and experience to help the team on and off the pitch.

Cascarino continued: “I’m proud of what I’ve achieved so far in my career and I’m looking forward to this next chapter at West Ham, in the best league in the world.”

Words from the head coach

“We are delighted that Estelle has joined the Club,” Rita Guarino said. “Estelle is a left-footed defender who has excellent technical ability. She reads the game well, is calm on the ball and her range of passing will suit our style of play.

“Estelle is a proven winner, and her experience and knowledge of the game will be a real asset to the team moving into the second half of the 2025/26 season.”
