Atlético Madrid have announced the signing of Amaiur Sarriegi from Real Sociedad on a contract running until June 2027. The 24-year-old striker began her senior career with Athletic Club B in the 2017/18 season before making her first-team debut three years later. In 2020, she moved to Real Sociedad, where she spent five seasons and scored a total of 55 goals. 

“I’m incredibly excited and really looking forward to everything that’s ahead of me at Atleti,” Amaiur Sarriegi said

Atlético Madrid are preparing for next season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign, having qualified for a second consecutive year by finishing in the top three of Liga F. To compete at the highest level, the club is actively building a strong squad.

Before signing Sarriegi, Atlético also secured the return of Macarena Portales. The forward joins from Levante Badalona on a deal until June 2027. Portales has played for several top clubs in Liga F, including Zaragoza, Sevilla, Madrid CFF, and Valencia. She returns to Atlético after progressing through the club’s youth system before moving to Fundación Albacete. 

“I’m so happy to be back home. I promise to give everything for this shirt,” Portales said.

Contract Extension

Vilde Bøe Risa has extended her contract with Atlético Madrid until 2026. The Norwegian midfielder joined the club in 2023 from Manchester United, where she made 44 appearances and scored eight goals over two seasons. Since her arrival, she has become a key figure in Atlético’s midfield, consistently featuring in the starting lineup.

Bøe Risa has played 68 matches across all competitions—including Liga F, the Copa de la Reina, Women’s Champions League, and the Supercopa—making her one of the team’s most reliable and frequently used players.
