Bristol City have announced the signing of Olivia Johnson on a season-long loan from Brighton & Hove Albion. The forward made her debut for the Seagulls in March 2023 and made five appearances for the team last season. She will now continue her development at Bristol City. Johnson becomes Healy’s eleventh summer signing and will strengthen the squad in their push for promotion to the WSL.
Words from Johnson and Head Coach Healy
Upon signing for Bristol City, Johnson said: “It feels very good to be here and I’m excited to get to know the rest of the players.”
Head Coach Charlotte Healy added: “OJ is a really exciting young player who I’m really excited for the fans to see. She is a different type of forward to what we currently have here, but I think she’ll fit into our style of play fantastically.
“She’s a young player who has scored a lot of goals in her youth career, so after spending time in Brighton’s First Team I’m excited to see her now get her opportunity in senior football in what will be an exciting WSL2 season.”
