Women’s international Calendar 2026-2029
Besides the upcoming season, the FIFA council also agreed on the 2026-20290 calendar. These are the key takeaways:
- No more July and September window.
- At least 10 weeks between major tournaments and next window.
- More rest and recovery based on player-centric approach.
- Dates for the FIFA Women’s Club World Cup.
“The Women’s international Calendar 2026-2029 and the subsequent amendments to our regulations represent an important milestone in our pledge to take the women’s game to the next level by enhancing competitiveness across the world, particularly in those regions where women’s football is less developed and protecting the well-being of the players. Having agreed the calendar well in advance will be beneficial for planning purposes,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
