Tottenham Hotspur are targeting a busy January transfer window and are interested in signing two high-profile players from BK Häcken: Matilda Nildén and Hanna Wijk. Martin Ho and his team have enjoyed a strong first campaign under the new head coach. The club currently sits fifth in the table with 20 points after 11 rounds, just a small gap behind the top three.

The potential addition of Hanna Wijk would strengthen the defensive unit further. The 22-year-old defender’s contract with BK Häcken expires at the end of 2025. Matilda Nildén, the sister of current Tottenham Hotspur defender Amanda Nildén, is also on Spurs’ radar. She is under contract with Häcken until the end of the 2026 season.

In further Tottenham Hotspur transfer news, Maika Hamano is expected to join the club on loan from Chelsea. The midfielder has been impressing in Sonia Bompastor’s team but could benefit from increased playing time.

Signe Gaupset signs for Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs have already secured their first signing of the winter transfer window, with Signe Gaupset set to join Tottenham Hotspur on January 1, 2026. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder arrives from SK Brann, signing a long-term contract with the club.

The Norwegian international is already familiar with head coach Martin Ho, who previously managed SK Brann before moving to the Women’s Super League.

Words from Signe Gaupset: “When I have spoken to people at the Club, the project and everything around it, it just seems really good. This is a good place for me to be a better footballer, to develop more and be as good as possible.

“I know Martin [Ho] as a coach and I know what to expect. We worked really well together. He demands a lot, but I like that, I think he can get even more out of me.”
