On the 5th of April the first qualifications for the Women’s Euro 2025 are held. 51 teams are competing for 15 tickets to the tournament. Switzerland is also participating in the qualifiers but they already secured their ticket as the hosts of the Women’s Euro 2025.
The top two teams of the League A groups qualify immediately. After that there are 7 or 8 tickets left. These will be contested over two rounds of home-and-away European Qualifiers play-offs. Here we have all the information on matchday 1 & 2 in April.
Women’s Euro 2025 Qualification Leagues and Groups
League A
- Group A1: Netherlands, Italy, Norway, Finland
- Group A2: Spain, Denmark, Belgium, Czechia
- Group A3: France, England (holders), Sweden, Republic of Ireland
- Group A4: Germany, Austria, Iceland, Poland
League B
- Group B1: Switzerland (finals hosts), Hungary, Türkiye, Azerbaijan
- Group B2: Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Israel
- Group B3: Portugal, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Northern Ireland, Malta
- Group B4: Wales, Croatia, Ukraine, Kosovo
League C
- Group C1: Belarus, Lithuania, Cyprus, Georgia
- Group C2: Slovenia, Latvia, North Macedonia, Moldova
- Group C3: Greece, Montenegro, Andorra, Faroe Islands
- Group C4: Romania, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Armenia
- Group C5: Albania, Estonia, Luxembourg
Women’s Euro 2025 Matchday 1
With three different leagues and 13 groups there are a lot of matches to be played. The top two teams from each group in League A qualify directly for the Euro’s 2025. After a total of six matchdays we will know who those teams are. The other 7/8 tickets have to be earned during play-offs, which will be scheduled on a later date. In League A you find the strongest teams in Europe such as World Champion and Nations League winner Spain, current European Champion England and runners-up France. Group A3 is seen as the most difficult one with England, Sweden, France and the underdog: Republic of Ireland.

The teams in League B obviously have a shot at the Women’s Euro 2025, but their route looks a little different. There are no direct tickets only places in the play-offs. Same goes for all the countries in League C.

Women’s Euro 2025 Matchday 2
On Tuesday the 9th of April the teams will face another opponent on matchday 2. After this they will go back to their clubs to come back in May for MD 3. The other matchdays are:
- MD 3: Friday the 31st of May 2024
- MD 4: Tuesday 4th of June 2024
- MD 5: Friday 12th of July 2024
- MD 6: Tuesday 16th of July 2024
One of the most spectacular matches will be the Republic of Ireland against England, also Denmark v Belgium and Sweden v France will be very important.
