The semi-final line-up for the World Sevens Tournament London 2026 has officially been confirmed after an action-packed second matchday in the women’s seven-a-side competition.

Chelsea, Everton, Manchester United and Aston Villa all secured qualification for the knockout stage following impressive performances during the group phase, setting up two highly anticipated semi-final clashes on Saturday.

  • Semi-Final 1: Chelsea vs. Aston Villa
  • Semi-Final 2: Manchester United vs. Everton

Group 1: Chelsea and Everton Advance

Chelsea became the first team to secure a place in the semi-finals after winning all three of their group-stage matches. The Blues scored 12 goals across the opening two matchdays while conceding six.

Despite Chelsea topping the group, Everton finished as the highest-scoring side in Group 1 with 13 goals. The Toffees sealed qualification in emphatic fashion with an impressive 8-2 victory over Leicester City in their final group-stage fixture.

Both teams showed attacking quality throughout the competition and now head into the knockout rounds with momentum.

Group 2: Manchester United and Aston Villa Go Through

Manchester United finished top of Group 2 after securing three wins from three matches. Their dominant 8-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur was one of the standout performances of the tournament so far.

United are competing in their second World Sevens Tournament after also participating in the inaugural edition in Estoril, Portugal. During that tournament, Manchester United reached the final before losing to Bayern Munich.

Aston Villa joined United in the semi-finals after winning two of their three matches. Villa’s only defeat came against Manchester United, while victories over Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United secured progression to the final four.

World Sevens Tournament 2026 Semi-Finals Confirmed

The semi-finals will take place on Saturday, May 30, with the opening match kicking off at 11:00 BST.

Group 1 winners Chelsea will face Aston Villa, who finished second in Group 2.

The second semi-final begins at 12:00 BST and will see Group 2 winners Manchester United take on Everton, who finished second in Group 1.

The winners of both matches will advance to the World Sevens Tournament London 2026 final, scheduled to kick off at 14:30 BST. With four in-form English clubs remaining in the competition, the tournament now heads into its decisive stage as the battle for the title intensifies in London. Watch it on DAZN or Sky Sports.
