Bayern Munich have won the inaugural World Sevens Football Tournament, claiming the $2.5 million prize. They defeated Manchester United 2–1 in the final, coming from behind to secure the victory. Zadrazil scored the winning goal with a superb strike, sealing the title for the German side.

Manchester United take the lead

In the opening five minutes, it was Bayern Munich that created the most opportunities through Zadrazil and Pernille Harder. Tullis-Joyce made an early save, while other efforts struck the woodwork or went wide. Manchester United managed one shot on target from Bizet, but the team appeared slightly overwhelmed in the early stages.

When Zigiotti lost a duel to Terland, goalkeeper Mahmutovic made a crucial stop to deny the Norwegian international. United responded with increased pressure, quickly taking a throw-in that led to a chance for Mannion in front of goal, but again Mahmutovic was equal to it. Just a minute later, the goalkeeper slipped, allowing Bizet to intercept the ball—but her effort went narrowly wide.

Manchester United eventually opened the scoring when Simi Awujo found the back of the net. Malard did the hard work, winning the ball back and playing it into the box, where Awujo sent a superb strike into the top corner.

Bayern Munich come back

Tullis-Joyce started the second half strongly with a double save, keeping her team in the lead. Bayern remained determined to equalize but struggled to make the final connection in the attacking third. Their breakthrough finally came in the 22nd minute, courtesy of another goal from Tanikawa. She made a well-timed run to the far post and slotted the ball home—moving into the top spot in the race for the Golden Boot at the World Sevens Football Tournament.

The second half continued to be action-packed, with shots from both teams as they push to take the lead and claim the $2.5 million prize. The runners-up won’t leave empty-handed either, earning $1 million—a significant reward in its own right.

Bayern Munich came from behind when Zadrazil found the back of the net. She turned past her defender and unleashed a powerful strike into the far corner—a spectacular goal.
