Brighton & Hove Albion have signed midfielder Olaug Tvedten from Norwegian club Vålerenga. Tvedten previously played for several clubs in Norway, including IL Trott and Avaldsnes IL, before joining Vålerenga.
During her time with Vålerenga, Tvedten enjoyed significant success, winning the Norwegian league title in 2023 and 2024, as well as the Norwegian Cup in 2021, 2024 and 2025. She also finished as the league’s top scorer in 2023 and 2025, scoring 52 goals across four seasons with the club.
Tvedten brings valuable UEFA Women’s Champions League experience to the Seagulls, having first appeared on Europe’s biggest stage in 2017 against FC Barcelona. She now joins the WSL side ahead of the second half of the 2025/26 season.

Latest Departure at Brighton
Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed that Jorelyn Carabalí has left the club and signed for Boston Legacy in the NWSL. The defender joined the Seagulls in the summer of 2023.
Prior to her move to the WSL, Carabalí played for several clubs, including Orsomarso, Atlético Huila, Deportivo Cali and Atlético Mineiro. During her time at Brighton, she made 37 appearances for the club.
