Felicia Schröder has signed a new contract with BK Häcken, extending her stay at the club until 2028. The club calls her a “future superstar,” and it’s easy to see why. The 18-year-old striker has scored 16 goals and provided six assists in just 12 games this season.

“It feels really good to extend my contract. Everything here is amazing,” says Schröder. Earlier in June, Sportbladet reported that several top European clubs were interested in signing her — and the list was impressive: Chelsea, Manchester City, VfL Wolfsburg, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Juventus, and OL Lyonnes.

What Felicia Schröder had to say

“I’m really excited and very happy. I feel great at BK Häcken, I’ve come a long way here and I just want to keep going. The facilities are excellent, I’m getting the development I want, lots of playing time, and the trust of the coaches—everything is just fantastic,” she said.

Given the minutes she’s getting on the pitch, staying at Häcken may be the smartest decision she could have made. At just 18, Schröder needs all the top-level experience she can get over the next few years — and Häcken is giving her exactly that.

According to Sportbladet, Schröder has now become the highest-paid player in Damallsvenskan history, reportedly earning a six-figure monthly salary (in Swedish kronor).

Schröder Career Highlights

Schröder began her youth career at IFK Björkö before turning professional with BK Häcken. She made her senior debut in April 2023, coming on in the 90th minute to replace Rosa Kafaji. Since then, she has made 83 appearances, scored 47 goals, and provided 10 assists for the club — a remarkable record for such a young player.

Internationally, Schröder has represented Sweden at U15, U16, and U17 levels. She made her senior national team debut on May 30, 2025, in a Women’s Nations League match against Italy. Substituting in for Kosovare Asllani in the 62nd minute, she wasn’t able to find the net, and the match ended in a 0–0 draw.

Despite her impressive form, Schröder was not selected for Sweden’s squad for the upcoming UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 on home soil.
