Juventus Women have confirmed the signing of Danique Noordman from Ajax, with the Dutch midfielder agreeing a contract that will keep her in Turin until June 2029.

For Juventus, this is more than just another summer addition. It is the latest sign of a club looking to combine immediate competitiveness with long-term planning, bringing in a player whose best years may still be ahead of her.

At just 22 years old, Noordman arrives after establishing herself as one of the Eredivisie’s most dependable young midfielders, earning recognition in the league’s Team of the Season and attracting attention beyond the Netherlands.

From Zwolle Prospect To Ajax Regular

Born in Zwolle in 2004, Noordman began her career with PEC Zwolle, making her debut in the Dutch top flight at just 16 years old. The early breakthrough highlighted her potential, but it was her move to Ajax in 2023 that accelerated her development.

Across three seasons in Amsterdam, Noordman evolved into a reliable presence in one of the Netherlands’ biggest clubs. She made 84 appearances for Ajax, scored eight goals and helped the club lift the Dutch Cup in 2024.

Her final season proved particularly impressive. Noordman featured 28 times in all competitions, contributing four goals and three assists while cementing her place as one of the league’s standout midfielders. Recognition in the Eredivisie Team of the Season underlined how far she had come.

The Quality Juventus Could Not Ignore

When Ajax technical manager Dolf Roks reflected on Noordman’s departure, one phrase stood out. He described her as a player capable of performing in several positions. That versatility is increasingly valuable in the modern game.

While Noordman is primarily a midfielder, her tactical intelligence and adaptability have allowed coaches to trust her in different roles throughout her career.

Juventus are gaining a player who can contribute in multiple systems and solve different problems during a long season. For a team competing domestically and in Europe, that flexibility can be just as important as technical ability.

A Signing That Fits Juventus’ Direction

The length of Noordman’s contract offers another clue about Juventus’ thinking. Deals running until 2029 are not usually handed out lightly. Rather than focusing exclusively on established stars, Juventus have identified a player who has already proven herself at a high level while still having significant room to develop.

The club is effectively betting that Noordman’s strongest years are still to come. Given her trajectory over the past three seasons, it is easy to understand why.
