Galatasaray has strengthened their squad with three exciting new signings this summer. The club welcomed Italian forward Valentina Giacinti from AS Roma, Austrian midfielder Julia Hickelsberger from TSG Hoffenheim, and Swedish goalkeeper Angel Mukasa from FC Rosengård. These additions bring a wealth of international experience and talent as Galatasaray aims to compete at the highest levels both domestically and in Europe.

Valentina Giacinti Career Highlights

Italian international Valentina Giacinti began her career in the youth ranks of Atalanta before joining their senior team in 2009. After three seasons, she had a brief stint at Napoli before signing for Mozzanica in 2013. In 2017, she joined Brescia for the 2017/18 season, then moved on to Milan, eventually arriving at Roma in 2022. Now, her next chapter unfolds at Galatasaray.

Giacinti is a three-time top scorer in Serie A, has won two league titles, one Coppa Italia, and the Super Cup. She recently represented Italy at the 2023 World Cup and the Women’s EURO 2025, where the team reached the semi-finals before being eliminated by England. Highlighting her impressive career, Giacinti was inducted into the Italian Football Hall of Fame in 2023.

Julia Hickelsberger Career Highlights

Midfielder Julia Hickelsberger came through the youth ranks at Neulengbach, making her senior debut in 2014. After four seasons, she transferred to St. Pölten in 2019. The Austrian international later joined TSG Hoffenheim, where she made 43 Bundesliga appearances and featured seven times in the DFB-Pokal. In the 2024/25 season, Hickelsberger scored two goals. She reunites with head coach Gabor Gallai, who previously coached Hoffenheim between 2020 and 2022.

Angel Mukasa Career Highlights


Goalkeeper Angel Mukasa is the third new addition to Galatasaray this summer. The 23-year-old Swedish keeper gained recognition for her performances in the 2023 Women’s Champions League, including matches against Barcelona. Mukasa has played for AIK, Brøndby, and Rosengård and is currently part of Sweden’s U23 national team.

  • Kezban Tağ, a 31-year-old defender, joins from Beşiktaş. Having spent her entire career in Turkey, she has won the Turkish league twice and is also a national team player, bringing valuable experience to the squad.
  • Elif Keskin, a 23-year-old forward, signed a one-year deal. She previously played for Fatih Karagümrük and Beşiktaş and is a two-time Turkish league champion.
  • Narin Yakut, another defender, arrives from Fatih Vatan on a one-year contract. She brings experience from Kayserispor, Fenerbahçe, Fatih Karagümrük, and Fatih Vatan.
  • Melike Öztürk, a 24-year-old attacker, signed a one-year contract from Ataşehir Belediye, further bolstering Galatasaray’s offensive options.
