Sky Sports and NOW
Sky Sports will broadcast 163 of the 182 Women’s Super League matches during the 2026/27 season. That amounts to approximately 90 per cent of the entire campaign, making Sky the main destination for regular WSL coverage.
Matches will be available through the relevant Sky Sports television channels and online services. Supporters without a long-term Sky television contract can access Sky Sports through a NOW Sports membership.
Selected fixtures will also be streamed on the Sky Sports WSL YouTube channel. However, not every Sky-selected match will be available free on YouTube, so supporters should check the individual match listing before kick-off.
Sky’s regular WSL broadcast windows will generally be:

- Saturday at 12:45

BBC One, BBC Two and BBC iPlayer
The BBC will continue to show selected WSL matches throughout the season. The most prominent fixtures will be broadcast on BBC One or BBC Two, while additional games may be available through BBC iPlayer.
The regular BBC television windows will generally be:

- Sunday at 14:30
A separate pay-TV subscription is not needed to watch BBC coverage, although the usual UK television-licence requirements apply to live broadcasts and BBC iPlayer.
The BBC’s opening selection is Chelsea against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 5 September. Charlton Athletic’s match against London City Lionesses will then be shown on BBC One during the third round, while Charlton’s meeting with Manchester City will be available through BBC iPlayer on 26 September.
Can You Watch the WSL for Free?
Yes, but not every match will be available without a subscription. Selected fixtures will be shown on BBC One, BBC Two and BBC iPlayer. Some games will also be streamed through the Sky Sports WSL YouTube channel.
Because most matches belong to Sky Sports’ main package, supporters who want to watch a particular club every week will generally require access to Sky Sports or NOW.

Will Every WSL Match Be Broadcast?
Yes. All 182 matches in the expanded 14-team Women’s Super League will be available to watch live through Sky Sports, the BBC or selected YouTube coverage.

Where to Watch WSL 2 in 2026/27
WSL 2 matches will be available through YouTube during the 2026/27 season, providing free access to England’s second tier.
The second division begins over the same 4–6 September weekend as the WSL. It includes relegated Leicester City, established WSL 2 clubs and promoted sides Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
At the end of the campaign, the WSL 2 champions will be promoted automatically. The teams finishing second and third will contest a pre-qualifying match, with the winner advancing to face the 13th-placed WSL club in the final promotion-relegation play-off.
Sky Sports and the BBC hold co-exclusive rights to that final play-off.
