It’s time for the quarter-finals of the Women’s Champions League: FC Barcelona v SK Brann. The finalists are Ajax, Chelsea, Benfica, Olympique Lyon, BK Häcken, Paris Saint-Germain, Brann and FC Barcelona. Chelsea beat Ajax during the away game with 0-3, but struggled in their own home, Stamford Bridge, last night. Ajax was able to score and keep Chelsea to a draw (1-1). The English team won due to the first leg and is now one of four semi-finalist.

Olympique Lyon is the other team that secured a spot in the Women’s Champions League semi-final. The second leg against Benfica did not go as planned. Lyon scored the first goals but Benfica kept pressing and even scored the 2-1. Lyon regrouped in the second half and won in the end with 4-1. Now it’s time to have a look at today’s UWCL quarter-final: FC Barcelona v SK Brann. Later in the evening PSG and BK Häcken will fight for that last spot in the next round.

FC Barcelona v SK Brann Past Matches

This Women’s Champions League season is the first time that Barcelona and Brann faced each other. FC Barcelona opened the score after only 9 minutes by the beautiful goal from Hansen. The Norwegian club showed their strength by scoring the equalizer in the 39th minute via Kvamme. Paralluelo scored the winning goal for her club. This gives Barcelona a slight advantage over Brann, but nothing is sure in this quarter-final.
