Brighton & Hove Albion’s summer overhaul shows no signs of slowing down. Just days after securing the signing of Norwegian midfielder Emilie Joramo, the Seagulls have confirmed another addition to Dario Vidosic’s growing project, with Poland international Nadia Krezyman set to join the club when her contract with French side Dijon expires.

The transfer offers further evidence that Brighton are building with a clear plan in mind: young, internationally experienced players with room to grow. It is a strategy that is becoming increasingly visible with every signing the club makes.

Brighton’s Recruitment Vision Is Taking Shape

The arrival of Krezyman follows a pattern that has emerged throughout Brighton’s summer business. At 22, the Polish forward fits the same age profile as Emilie Joramo, another player recruited before reaching her peak years but already possessing valuable senior experience.

Rather than targeting established stars nearing the latter stages of their careers, Brighton appear focused on players who can contribute immediately while still developing alongside the club. That approach makes sense.

The Women’s Super League continues to become more competitive each season, and clubs outside the traditional elite are increasingly looking for ways to close the gap. Identifying players before they become household names can often be just as important as winning races for established stars.

A Forward Ready For The Next Step

Krezyman arrives in England after spending the last two seasons with Dijon in France’s top division. During that period, she was directly involved in 18 league goals, scoring eight times and providing ten assists.

Last season alone, she found the net five times in 21 league appearances as Dijon secured a comfortable mid-table finish. Those numbers help explain why Brighton moved for the Poland international.

Head coach Dario Vidosic highlighted both her productivity and versatility when discussing the signing.

“With Rosa Kafaji and Michelle Agyemang’s loans coming to an end, we have needed reinforcements in our forward positions which Nadia definitely brings. She offers both goals and creativity up front, so we’re excited to see what she adds to the group.”

Experience Beyond Her Years

Although Krezyman only recently celebrated her 22nd birthday, her experience level is notable. The forward has already accumulated more than 150 appearances across club and senior international football, an impressive figure for a player still in the early stages of her career.

After progressing through the youth system at Polish side UKS SMS Lodz, she established herself in senior football before earning a move abroad. Her development also earned recognition at international level.

Having represented Poland throughout the youth age groups, Krezyman made her senior international debut in 2023 and has remained part of the national team picture ever since. That combination of youth and experience is becoming a recurring theme in Brighton’s recruitment.

Filling An Important Gap

Krezyman’s arrival also addresses a clear squad need. With Rosa Kafaji and Michelle Agyemang returning to their parent clubs following successful loan spells, Brighton entered the summer needing additional attacking options.

Replacing goals, creativity and depth is rarely straightforward. Krezyman may not be expected to shoulder that responsibility alone, but she gives Vidosic another flexible attacking option capable of operating across the forward line.

In a league where squad depth often determines success across a long season, those additions can prove crucial.

Why This Transfer Matters

Viewed in isolation, Krezyman’s arrival is a solid addition. Viewed alongside Brighton’s wider summer activity, it becomes more significant. The signings of Emilie Joramo and Nadia Krezyman suggest Brighton are not simply planning for next season. They are investing in players who could form part of the club’s core for years to come.

Reports linking Switzerland captain Lia Wälti with a move to the club only reinforce that impression. For years, Brighton’s ambitions centred around establishing themselves in the Women’s Super League.

Now the club appears focused on something more ambitious: building a squad capable of challenging the division’s established order. Krezyman may not be the biggest name to arrive this summer, but she is another piece of a project that is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.
