Chelsea Women have confirmed a contract extension for Sandy Baltimore following an impressive start to her career in London.

Baltimore joined Chelsea ahead of the 2024/25 season from Paris Saint-Germain Féminine and quickly established herself as one of the club’s most influential wide players.

Since arriving in the Women’s Super League, the France international has impressed with her attacking quality, defensive work rate and ability to impact matches on both sides of the pitch.

During her first season at Chelsea, Baltimore helped the club secure a domestic treble. She made 29 appearances across all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing six assists. Her second campaign also brought an important personal milestone as she reached 50 appearances for the Blues.

Speaking after signing her new deal, Sandy Baltimore said:

“Chelsea is one of the biggest clubs. We have a top-quality team, and I want to compete with the best players in the world every day. That’s why I chose to stay here. I want to keep improving and try to win every trophy possible.”

Why Chelsea Moved Quickly to Extend Baltimore’s Contract

Baltimore has become a key part of Chelsea’s tactical setup due to her versatility and technical quality.

Whether deployed as a winger or wing-back, she consistently provides energy, creativity and defensive support. Her ability to win one-on-one duels and stretch opposition defences has made her one of the most dangerous wide players in the Women’s Super League.

The French international also brings valuable experience at international level. After progressing through France’s youth system, Baltimore made her senior debut for the national team in 2020.

Since then, she has earned more than 50 caps for France women’s national football team and established herself as an important player for her country.

Sam Kerr Set To Leave Chelsea After Historic Spell

Sam Kerr will leave Chelsea Women after six and a half successful seasons at the club.

Since joining Chelsea in 2019, Kerr developed into one of the greatest forwards in Women’s Super League history. The Australia international made 177 appearances and scored 115 goals, finishing just one goal behind Chelsea Women’s all-time leading scorer Fran Kirby.

During her time in London, Kerr helped Chelsea dominate English women’s football, winning five Women’s Super League titles, three FA Cups, three League Cups and one Community Shield.

Individually, she won the Women’s Super League Golden Boot in both the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons.

What’s Next for Sam Kerr?

Speculation surrounding Kerr’s future is already growing, with several clubs reportedly interested in signing the striker.

Teams in the National Women’s Soccer League are believed to be monitoring the situation closely, including expansion side Denver Summit FC. Given her experience, leadership and elite goalscoring record, Kerr is expected to remain one of the biggest names in the summer transfer market.
