Inter have signed Swedish defender Emma Kullberg following the end of her spell with Juventus, adding another experienced option to their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 34-year-old has agreed a contract running until 30 June 2027. Inter have not disclosed a transfer fee.
Kullberg arrives after two seasons with Juventus, where she won four domestic trophies and gained experience in both Serie A and the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Her ability to operate centrally or at full-back gives Inter additional cover across the defence.

Kullberg brings experience to Inter’s back line
Inter enter the new season preparing for their first Women’s Champions League league-phase campaign. Kullberg provides a player already accustomed to the demands of competing domestically and in Europe with Juventus.
She is primarily a centre-back but has also played at full-back during her career. That versatility should give Inter greater flexibility when rotating their defence across Serie A, cup and European fixtures.
The one-year agreement represents a shorter commitment than many of Inter’s other summer deals, but it adds an experienced player who should require little time to adapt to the league.
Four trophies during two seasons with Juventus
Emma Kullberg joined Juventus in 2024 following two and a half seasons in England with Brighton & Hove Albion.
Her time in Turin included success in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, Supercoppa Italiana and Serie A Women’s Cup. She now remains in Italy while moving between two clubs expected to compete near the top of the domestic standings.
Before arriving in England, Kullberg spent most of her career in Sweden. She began with hometown club Umeå IK and later represented Kungsbacka DFF, KIF Örebro and Kopparbergs/Göteborg.
Kullberg helped Kopparbergs/Göteborg win the 2020 Damallsvenskan title before the team became part of BK Häcken. She remained with the side for the 2021 season and subsequently joined Brighton in January 2022.
The defender has also represented Sweden at senior level. She was part of the squad that won silver at the Tokyo Olympics, appearing as a substitute during the final against Canada.
Inter will therefore receive a defender with experience in three major European leagues, international football and several defensive roles. The move strengthens their options for a season in which their schedule will extend beyond domestic competition.
