The nine ties are played over two legs, with the return matches scheduled for 1 and 2 September. Each winner advances to the 18-team league phase, joining Arsenal, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Benfica, Häcken, Manchester City, OL Lyonnes, Paris FC and Roma.
The nine losing clubs are not eliminated from Europe altogether. They transfer to the second qualifying round of the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup.
