What’s the benefit of winning the Women’s Nations League 2025?

The four teams in League A that win their group go to the Final Four. Last time around the teams in the final got a direct ticket to the Women’s EURO 2025. This year the tournament plays a big role in qualifying for the World Cup 2027:

League A

  • The top two teams in each group stay in League A for the European Qualifiers for the 2027 Women’s World Cup.
  • The four third-placed teams play off against the second-placed teams in each group of League B. The winners of each tie will play in League A for the European Qualifiers phase; the defeated teams will play in League B.
  • The fourth-placed teams are relegated to League B.

League B

  • League B group winners are promoted to League A and even their second-best placed teams get a shot against the third placed teams in League A to earn their promotion.
  • Unfortunately for the two lowest-ranked third-placed teams and the four fourth-placed teams, they have to relegate to League C.

League C

  • The six group winners in League C are promoted to League B.
  • The two best ranked second-placed teams also get a shot to be in League B. But first they have to play off against the best third placed teams from B.
  • The others stay in League C.
