Juventus Women have signed Japanese forward Remina Chiba from Eintracht Frankfurt on a contract until 30 June 2028, adding a mobile and versatile option to their attack. Chiba is the latest signing after Alba Redondo, who signed only a few days ago.
The move also carries a piece of club history. Chiba becomes the first Japanese player to represent Juventus Women, arriving in Italy after establishing herself in both Japan and Germany.

From Japan To Juventus Via Frankfurt
Born in Fukushima in 1999, Remina Chiba developed in her home country and progressed to the WE League, Japan’s top division. Her first move into European football followed in January 2024, when she joined Eintracht Frankfurt.
That step demanded more than simply adapting to a new club. Chiba was entering a different footballing environment, but her 62 appearances for Frankfurt suggest she became a meaningful part of the team rather than merely using Germany as a brief stop in her career.
She scored 12 goals across all competitions during that period. Those numbers provide some indication of what Juventus are adding, although her value cannot be measured only through her finishing.
More Than Another Forward
Juventus describe Remina Chiba as an attacking wildcard whose mobility and versatility are among her main strengths. She can operate centrally but is also comfortable moving into the wide areas, giving the team an option who does not need to remain fixed in one attacking position.
That flexibility may be the most interesting part of the signing. Chiba has not been recruited simply to occupy a place in the forward line. Her movement should allow Juventus to change the shape of their attack and use her in different roles depending on what a match requires.
Her journey also points to a player who has continued to seek increasingly demanding challenges. After progressing through Japanese football, she tested herself in Germany and will now begin another new chapter in Italy.
International Experience
Chiba has also been an established member of Japan’s senior national-team setup since 2022. Her move to Juventus therefore brings together a player with international experience and a club looking to broaden the possibilities within its attack.
Becoming the first Japanese footballer in Juventus Women’s history makes the transfer significant, but Chiba will ultimately be judged on what she adds on the pitch. Her mobility, ability to move across the front line and experience in two different domestic leagues give her the foundations to become much more than a symbolic signing.
