Inter have brought Michela Cambiaghi back to the club on a contract running until 30 June 2029, one year after the Italian forward left the Nerazzurre for Juventus.
The 30-year-old returns with 34 additional appearances and seven goals from her season in Turin. Cambiaghi also helped Juventus win the Italian Super Cup and the Serie A Women’s Cup before completing her move back to Milan.
Inter are therefore signing a player already familiar with the club, Serie A and the demands of their attack. Cambiaghi scored 17 goals in 46 appearances during her first two-year spell and contributed to Inter securing the first UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification in their history.

Seven goals across four competitions for Juventus
Cambiaghi’s only season with Juventus demonstrated the range of her contribution. She scored three times in Serie A, twice in the Coppa Italia, once in the Women’s Champions League and once in the Serie A Women’s Cup. According to Juventus, she was the only player in their squad to score in four different competitions during 2025/26.
Her seven goals came across 34 appearances in all competitions. That total included a Serie A brace against Ternana and two goals in Juventus’ 7-1 Coppa Italia victory over Cesena.
Michela Cambiaghi’s physical presence also gave Juventus a reliable aerial threat. In November 2025, she became only the second player after Cristiana Girelli to score more than ten headed Serie A goals from the start of the 2020/21 season.
Juventus confirmed her departure after a campaign in which she helped the club win two trophies. Her previous contract in Turin had been scheduled to run until 2028.
A proven Inter goalscorer returns
Cambiaghi initially joined Inter from Parma in the summer of 2023. Across the following two seasons, she established herself as an important member of the attack and scored 17 times in 46 appearances.
Her second campaign coincided with Inter qualifying for the Women’s Champions League for the first time. That previous contribution gives her return greater relevance than a routine domestic transfer: Inter are bringing back a forward who has already performed within the club’s environment and understands the standards behind their recent progress.
The three-year agreement also represents a longer commitment than her first Inter contract, which originally ran for two seasons. Cambiaghi will now remain under contract until shortly after her 33rd birthday.
“A reliable and powerful forward” was how Inter described Cambiaghi when confirming her return.
More experience for Inter’s European campaign
Cambiaghi has reached the 250-appearance mark in Italy’s top division. Her Serie A career has included spells with Mozzanica, Como, Sassuolo, Parma, Inter and Juventus.
That experience should allow her to contribute without a long adaptation period. Inter know how she operates, Michela Cambiaghi knows the league and she returns after gaining further Champions League and trophy-winning experience with Juventus.
She also offers a different attacking option through her strength, reliability and ability in the air. Her goals during the previous campaign were not concentrated in one competition, suggesting she can remain useful when Inter rotate their squad between domestic and European fixtures.
The move gives Cambiaghi an immediate opportunity to build on the 17 goals from her first spell rather than begin again at an unfamiliar club.
Cambiaghi’s route back to Milan
Born in Vimercate on 4 February 1996, Cambiaghi developed with Concorezzese and Fiammamonza. She made her first-team debut at 15 before subsequently representing Inter Milano and Mozzanica.
After three seasons with Mozzanica and loans at Como 2000 and Fiammamonza, she joined Sassuolo permanently in 2018. Michela Cambiaghi scored 17 goals in 55 appearances for the Neroverdi before moving to Parma in 2022.
Five goals in 24 matches during her season with Parma led to her first transfer to Inter. She spent two seasons with the Nerazzurre, one with Juventus and has now returned to Milan with a contract through 2029.
