Janou Levels will make the move from Bayer 04 Leverkusen to VfL Wolfsburg next season. The Dutch defender started her career with CTO Eindhoven, joined PSV in 2018/2019, and signed with Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2023. She joins her fellow Dutch internationals Lynn Wilms, Ella Peddemors, Caitlin Dijkstra and Lineth Beerensteyn at The Wolves.
Career Overview – What can we expect from Janou Levels?
The left-back has made 38 appearances in the Frauen Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal. In 2021, she made her debut for the Dutch national team in a friendly fixture against Japan, and earned a second cap in 2022 during the Tournoi de France against Finland.
Since Levels made the move to Bayer 04 Leverkusen, she quickly earned a place in the Starting XI, where she has been of great value. The club is currently fourth in the league, with three more matchdays to go.
- Levels scored two goals this season, provided four assists and her preferred foot is her left.
Her main competition at VfL Wolfsburg will be Linder. She is often positioned as left back but also has experience on the right side, making it interesting to see how Wolfsburg’s new head coach will shape the defense.
