Everton have re-signed Canadian goalkeeper Rylee Foster-Inman following her spell with Halifax Tides. The 27-year-old returns to Merseyside after previously spending three months with Everton between September 2024 and January 2025. The club have not disclosed the length or terms of her new agreement.
Her arrival follows the permanent departure of Inês Pereira, who joined Dépor ABANCA after spending the previous two seasons on loan with the Liga F club.

Why Everton Have Turned to a Familiar Goalkeeper
Rylee Foster-Inman’s return restores depth to Everton’s goalkeeping department, but it also reunites a group that has already worked together.
She trained alongside Courtney Brosnan during her first spell and spoke warmly about the standards set by Everton’s established goalkeeper and goalkeeping coach Ian McCaldon.
“I love training with Courtney and Ian,” Foster-Inman said. “The union we had when I was here was so tight-knit and special.”
That familiarity should make her reintegration relatively straightforward. Technical director Nick Cox specifically highlighted her existing relationships with Brosnan and McCaldon when explaining the signing.
Returning With More Match Experience
Rylee Foster-Inman left Everton in search of competitive minutes and subsequently joined Durham. She kept three clean sheets in ten appearances for the WSL 2 club before moving to Dallas Trinity in the United States.
A return to Canada followed with Halifax Tides, where she twice earned the Northern Super League’s Save of the Week award within one month. Those moves exposed her to different leagues and playing environments while providing the match experience she needed at this stage of her career.
Everton are therefore bringing back a goalkeeper who knows the club but has developed since her previous stay. Pereira’s sale removes a player who was still under contract but had not been part of Everton’s active squad for two seasons; Foster-Inman’s arrival more directly strengthens the depth available around Brosnan.
Her first spell in L4 was temporary. This return offers her another opportunity to establish a lasting role within Everton’s goalkeeping group.
