Barcelona have signed 18-year-old Italian forward Giulia Galli from AS Roma on a permanent transfer, with the youngster agreeing a contract through 2030.
Galli will initially strengthen Barça B rather than immediately joining the senior squad. She is due to link up with Óscar Belis’ team after representing Italy at the Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland during September. The transfer fee has not been disclosed.

Barcelona add another prospect to Barça B
The move gives Giulia Galli a defined development route within Barcelona’s women’s football structure. Despite already experiencing senior football in Italy, she will begin with the reserve team as she adjusts to a new country and playing environment.
Barcelona describe Galli as a quick forward with a strong shot. Her arrival adds another young attacking option to Barça B while allowing the club to oversee the next stage of her development on a long-term contract.
An official signing event will take place at the Johan Cruyff Stadium after Galli returns from international duty. Sporting director Marc Vivés and women’s youth football coordinator Jordi Ventura are expected to attend.
From Roma’s academy to Barcelona
Galli joined Roma’s youth system in 2017 and progressed to the first team, making her senior debut at 16. Her early exposure to senior football helped establish her as one of the notable prospects in the Italian pathway.
At international level, she has represented Italy at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-19 level. Her next assignment will be the Under-20 World Cup before she begins her first season in Spanish football.
The four-year agreement gives Barcelona time to develop Galli without placing immediate first-team expectations on her. Her performances for Barça B will offer a clearer indication of how quickly she can move towards the senior squad.
