Inter Women have confirmed the departures of Tessa Wullaert, Katie Bowen and Telma Ivarsdottir as the club begins preparations for the upcoming season. The trio leave after playing important roles during a significant period of growth for the Nerazzurre, who have continued to establish themselves among the leading sides in Italian women’s football.

Tessa Wullaert Ends Successful Spell at Inter

Wullaert departs after two impressive seasons leading Inter’s attack. The Belgium international joined the club in the summer of 2024 following previous spells with Anderlecht, Standard Liège, Manchester City, Wolfsburg and Fortuna Sittard.

The forward quickly became one of the standout players in Serie A Femminile, helping Inter secure consecutive second-place finishes in the league. She also finished as the league’s top scorer during the 2025/26 campaign with 14 goals.

Across all competitions, Wullaert scored 28 goals in 55 appearances for Inter. Her tally included 24 Serie A goals, alongside contributions in the Coppa Italia, Serie A Women’s Cup and UEFA Women’s competitions.

Beyond her goalscoring record, Wullaert brought leadership and high-level European experience to a growing Inter side competing both domestically and internationally.

Katie Bowen Leaves After Three Seasons

Bowen leaves Milan after three seasons with the club following her arrival from Melbourne City FC Women in 2023. The New Zealand international became a key figure in Inter’s defensive line, earning a reputation for consistency, composure and leadership at the back.

During her time with the club, Bowen made 78 appearances across all competitions and played a central role in Inter’s qualification campaigns for European football. Her appearances included matches in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, Serie A Women’s Cup and UEFA competitions as Inter continued to strengthen their position among Italy’s top sides.

Telma Ivarsdottir Also Departs

Ivarsdottir, who joined Inter in February 2026, also leaves the club after making one Serie A appearance during her short spell in Milan.

Inter Enter Important Summer Window

The departures mark the beginning of what could be a significant summer rebuild for Inter Women as the club looks to strengthen ahead of another campaign competing at the top end of Serie A and in European football.

Inter thanked all three players for their contributions and wished them success in the next stage of their careers.
