Juventus have completed the permanent signing of Spain forward Amaiur Sarriegi from Atlético Madrid, with the 25-year-old signing a contract through 30 June 2029.
Atlético confirmed an agreement had been reached for Sarriegi’s transfer on Tuesday, bringing her time in Madrid to an end after just over a year. The forward made 43 competitive appearances and scored 10 goals for Atlético after joining from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2025.
The move takes Sarriegi outside Spanish football for the first time in her senior career as she joins Juventus in Serie A.

Sarriegi leaves Atlético after 43 appearances
Amaiur Sarriegi’s spell with Atlético included appearances across four competitions. She played 28 times in Liga F, nine times in the Women’s Champions League, five times in the Copa de la Reina and once in the Spanish Super Cup.
Across those 43 appearances, she scored 10 goals. Atlético thanked the forward for her work and commitment before confirming that she would continue her career in Italy.
For Juventus, Sarriegi provides another option in attack as the Italian club strengthens its squad with a player who already has experience in both Liga F and the Champions League.
First move outside Spain
Born in San Sebastián, Sarriegi developed at Añorga before moving to Athletic Club in 2017. She established herself with Athletic’s B team and helped them win the Segunda División title in 2019/20 before progressing to Spain’s top flight.
Her move to Real Sociedad proved an important step in her career. Sarriegi scored 13 league goals during her first season with the club and later became captain. She remained with Real Sociedad until joining Atlético Madrid in the summer of 2025.
Juventus will now provide Sarriegi with her first experience of club football outside Spain, with the forward committed to the Bianconere for almost three seasons.
Spain international adds experience to Juventus attack
Sarriegi made her senior Spain debut in June 2021 and made an immediate impact during the early stages of her international career. In her first start for Spain, she scored a hat-trick against the Faroe Islands.
Her move to Juventus gives the forward a new opportunity to establish herself outside Liga F while adding another experienced attacking option to the Italian club’s squad.
With a contract running until June 2029, Juventus have made a longer-term investment in a player entering the prime years of her career.
