Arsenal will visit reigning champions Barcelona, Chelsea face an away match against OL Lyonnes and Manchester City will host both Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid following the 2026/27 UEFA Women’s Champions League league phase draw.
All 18 clubs were given six different opponents during Friday’s draw in Nyon. Each team will play three matches at home and three away between 22 September and 16 December.
The opponent lists are not in fixture order. UEFA is expected to confirm the full schedule, including dates and kick-off times, on Saturday 5 September.

Women’s Champions League draw
Arsenal handed trips to Barcelona, Paris FC and Inter
Arsenal have been given one of the most demanding combinations of opponents in the league phase. The Gunners will travel to defending champions Barcelona in a repeat of the 2025 final, which Arsenal won 1-0 to claim their second European title. Renée Slegers’ side will also host OL Lyonnes, the team that ended Arsenal’s title defence in last season’s semi-finals.
Their other home matches are against Benfica and HB Køge. Away from home, Arsenal will visit Paris FC and league phase debutants Inter in addition to Barcelona.
The Paris FC fixture also carries recent history. The French club eliminated Arsenal during qualifying in 2023/24, before the introduction of the current league phase.

Chelsea face Lyon away after qualifying victory
Chelsea’s most prominent fixture is an away meeting with OL Lyonnes. It will take head coach Sonia Bompastor back to the club she guided to the Champions League title in 2022 before moving to London.
The Blues will also travel to Sweden to face Women’s Europa Cup holders Häcken and visit Belgian champions OH Leuven.
Their home schedule contains Paris Saint-Germain, Roma and league phase newcomers Austria Wien. Chelsea secured their place in the draw by beating Real Sociedad 6-2 on aggregate in the third qualifying round.
Chelsea avoided fellow English clubs Arsenal and Manchester City because teams from the same national association cannot meet during the league phase.

Manchester City to host PSG and Real Madrid
Women’s Super League champions Manchester City return to European competition with three notable home fixtures. City will welcome Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Austria Wien. Their away schedule takes them to Bayern Munich, Häcken and Inter.
The draw means City have avoided Barcelona and OL Lyonnes as well as the two other English entrants. Bayern away and home matches against PSG and Madrid nevertheless give City three significant tests against established European opponents.
City qualified automatically by winning the WSL and were placed in the third seeding pot. Their last Champions League campaign ended in the quarter-finals in 2024/25.

Barcelona begin title defence with Arsenal reunion
Barcelona enter the league phase as the defending champions after winning their fourth European title in May. Their home schedule includes Arsenal, Paris FC and Servette.
Barcelona will visit Bayern Munich, Roma and HB Køge. The meeting with Arsenal will be the first between the clubs since Barcelona lost the 2025 final in Lisbon.
OL Lyonnes, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich join Barcelona, Arsenal and Chelsea among the six teams in the top seeding pot. The format still allows clubs to face opponents from their own pot, which is why several of the strongest teams have been paired together.
How does the Women’s Champions League league phase work?
The 18 clubs were separated into three pots of six based on their UEFA club coefficients, with titleholders Barcelona placed first in Pot 1.
Every team was drawn against two clubs from each pot. They will face one opponent from each pot at home and the other away, producing six matches against six different teams.
Clubs could not be paired with another team from the same national association. They could also be drawn against no more than two opponents from any other single country.
All results contribute to one 18-team league table:
- The teams finishing first to fourth qualify directly for the quarter-finals.
- The teams finishing fifth to 12th enter two-legged knockout play-offs.
- The four play-off winners complete the quarter-final line-up.
- The teams finishing 13th to 18th are eliminated from the competition.
