Emily Fox has signed a new contract with Arsenal, extending her stay in North London after establishing herself as a key part of the Gunners’ defence.
Arsenal announced the new deal on Thursday, with the United States international having made 93 appearances and scored three goals since joining the club from North Carolina Courage in January 2024.
Fox extends her Arsenal stay
Fox quickly became Arsenal’s first-choice right-back following her move to England and won her first trophy with the club just two months after arriving, helping the Gunners lift the League Cup. The 28-year-old has since played an important role in one of Arsenal’s most successful periods in recent years.
She was part of the side that won the 2024/25 UEFA Women’s Champions League, with Arsenal securing their second European title in May 2025.
Another international club trophy followed during the 2025/26 campaign when Arsenal became the inaugural winners of the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup. Fox provided the assist for Lotte Wubben-Moy as Arsenal beat Corinthians 3–2 in the final at Emirates Stadium.
Her performances have also earned individual recognition. Fox was selected in both the PFA Women’s Super League Team of the Year and UEFA Women’s Champions League Team of the Year in each of her first two full seasons at Arsenal. She was also nominated for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
Speaking after signing her new contract, Fox said she was happy to continue her career with the Gunners.
“This has felt like home since the moment I joined, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to continue to represent this club and compete for titles.”
She added that she feels Arsenal is the right place for her to “keep pushing for more.”
An important part of Arsenal’s defence
Emily Fox’s consistency has made her an important part of Arsenal’s defensive structure, while her ability to contribute further forward has given the Gunners another option in possession from right-back.
The defender also brings considerable international experience. Fox has made 78 appearances for the United States since making her senior debut in 2018 and was part of the USWNT squad that won Olympic gold at Paris 2024.
With her future now secured, Fox will continue into her third full season with Arsenal as the club competes domestically and in the Women’s Champions League.
