Krstić joins PSG after two seasons at Basel
Krstić began her senior career with Red Star Belgrade and spent eight years with the Serbian club before moving abroad.
Her final season in Serbia brought major domestic success. Red Star won both the Serbian Championship and Serbian Cup in 2024, completing a league and cup double before Krstić departed for Basel that summer.
The move to Switzerland represented her first experience playing club football outside Serbia.
Krstić went on to make 24 league appearances and score two goals across her two seasons with Basel, including 14 appearances during her final Women’s Super League campaign. She now takes another step into one of Europe’s major leagues with PSG.
An experienced Serbia international
Andjela Krstić has also established herself at senior international level after previously representing Serbia at U17 and U19 level.
The defender has earned 12 senior caps for Serbia and has been regularly involved with the national team in recent years.
She was part of the Serbia squad that competed in the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 qualifying play-offs, adding international experience to a career that has already taken her through three different domestic leagues.
Speaking after completing the move, Krstić described joining PSG as an important next stage of her development.
She said the move was a “fantastic opportunity” and explained that, after playing in Serbia and Switzerland, she wanted to experience a new environment and continue progressing.
What Krstić brings to Paris Saint-Germain
At 25, Andjela Krstić arrives in Paris with senior international experience but also plenty of scope to develop further at a higher level. Her left-footed profile is particularly useful in central defence, while her career path shows a steady progression: establishing herself and winning trophies with Red Star, moving abroad with Basel and now stepping up to PSG.
Her three-year contract also suggests this is more than a short-term addition to the squad.
For Krstić, the move represents her biggest club challenge so far. For PSG, it adds another international defender to their options as they continue building their squad for the 2026/27 campaign.
