Watching Liga F in Spain
DAZN holds rights to all eight Liga F matches in every round in Spain and Andorra for the 2026/27 season.
There is also significantly more free-to-air coverage under the league’s new broadcast agreement.
TVE and 3Cat/TV3 have rights to show four matches from each round free-to-air, meaning half of the league’s matches can be available without a paid subscription in Spain each weekend.
Individual games may therefore appear across DAZN, Teledeporte, RTVE Play, TV3, 3Cat and Esport3 depending on the fixture.

Who won Liga F in 2025/26?
Barcelona enter the 2026/27 season as defending Liga F champions.
The Catalan club won the championship for the seventh consecutive season in 2025/26, continuing an extraordinary period of domestic dominance.
Real Madrid finished second and Real Sociedad third, with both clubs securing places in Women’s Champions League qualifying.
That leaves Barcelona as the team to beat again in 2026/27, while Real Madrid, Real Sociedad, Atlético Madrid and Costa Adeje Tenerife are among the clubs looking to challenge at the top end of the table.
What is Liga F?
Liga F is the highest level of women’s league football in Spain.
Women’s top-flight competition in Spain dates back to 1988, although the competition has undergone several changes in structure and name during its history.
A major change came much more recently when the top division became fully professional. The professional league is organised by the Liga Profesional de Fútbol Femenino (LPFF), with Liga F now established as the country’s professional women’s top flight.
The competition features many of Spain’s biggest football clubs as well as established women’s football sides from across the country.
How does Liga F work?
Liga F contains 16 teams. Each club plays every other team twice during the season, once at home and once away, giving each team 30 league matches.
Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw, with no points awarded for a defeat. League position is determined across the season, with the club finishing first crowned Spanish champions.
The leading teams can also qualify for the UEFA Women’s Champions League, while clubs at the bottom of the table face relegation from the top flight.
Barcelona’s dominance of Liga F
Barcelona have established themselves as the dominant force in Spanish women’s football.
The club entered the 2026/27 campaign having won seven consecutive La Liga F championships, setting the standard the rest of the division is attempting to reach.
Their domestic success has coincided with Barcelona becoming one of Europe’s leading women’s teams, making the Spanish title race particularly significant for clubs trying to close the gap.
